Magnetization Reversal andDomainWallPropagation Characteristics ofCompound Magnetic Wire

1991
When vicalloy wire (40Fe-50 Co10 V) is twisted, the outer areas in the wire, which undergo greatstress as a result of twisting, take on a smaller coercivity. The pulse-inducing characteristicsand domainwall propagation of such compound magnetic wire are described. It was found that the pulsevoltage inducedbylargeBarkhausen jumpsis not proportional to the value of (H-Hq) , where H is the criticalfieldof domainnuclea¬ tion at flux reversal and H0is the criticalfield of domain wall displacement. Moreover,H
