Segmented polyurethane hot melt adhesive compositions

2002
Compositions containing · A reaction product of a stoichiometric excess of a polyisocyanate with a hydroxy-functional polyester-ether block copolymer based on aromatic dicarboxylic acids · A reaction product of a polyisocyanate with a polyester polyol and / or · If necessary, a reaction product of a polyisocyanate with a polyether polyol and · Any non-reactive thermoplastic polymers suitable as reactive hot melt adhesives. By the use of reaction products of hydroxy-functional polyester-ether block copolymers with polyisocyanates this Blockcopolymerbaustein is firmly incorporated into the adhesive matrix, this increases the reactive moiety in the adhesive composition and results in better heat resistance and better resistance to hydrolysis, at the same time the melting point of the polyester-ether is copolymer component lowered, without which there is loss in heat resistance and setting rate. Due to the incorporation into the polymer matrix, and the compatibility of the components of the composition improved.
