Homologous polypeptide with vefg and bmp1

The present invention involves the identification and preparation of vascular endothelial growth factor-E (VEGF-E). The VEGF-E is a novel polypeptide associated vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and bone morphogenic protein 1. The VEGF-E has homology to VEGF comprising the maintenance of amino acid required for activity of VEGF. The VEGF-E may be useful in wound healing, as well as to the generation and regeneration of tissue.
