Metal Induced Cytopathologies in the Copepod Tigriopus brevicornis

Copepods are tiny (~1 mm) crustaceans belonging to zooplankton which is a major trophic link in the aquatic food web. Their biomonitoring is ecologically relevant since their biological process and demoecological impairment must be read as early signs of hazard occurring in the environment, before higher levels organisms are concerned.
