Analysis of New Sugar and Energy Cane Varieties Based on Grey Relational Method

[Objective]To evaluate new sugar and energy cane varieties from Guangxi Sugarcane Research Institute,and screening the new variety with good comprehensive characters.[Method]The Grey relational method was used to evaluate the 13 sugar and energy cane varieties by 9 main agronomic characters and yield.[Result]The results showed that the GT97-69 variety was the most closed to the reference varity with the highest of the grey relational degree(0.804 1),and the others were GT02-833GT02-351GT03-2287B9GT02-770GT01-53ROC22GF98-296B8GT02-467GT02-237GT02-901.[Conclusion]The practical production performance of GT97-69 was the best and consistent.Grey relational analysis can be used in the synthetic assessment of sugarcane varieties.
