Analysis of ‘Kana-Ami’ Structure Between Expert and Non-Expert by Using X-Ray Computed Tomography (CT)

‘Kana-ami’ is a kind of metal wire network in Japan. This study aimed to focus on ‘Kana-ami’ technique development in order to keep this culture wealth and skill to the next generation. In this study, the two participants were selected for comparison called as expert and non-expert. The products made by participants were scanned by X-ray computed tomography precisely. The distance between two metal wires of ‘Right-line’ and ‘Left-line’ was calculated. The compression test also was performed to clarify the performance of final products. The expert’s product was shown smaller damage on the surface of Tofu in the end.Copyright © 2015 by ASME
