Information processing and clinical management

Abstract The function of information in clinical management is considered with the aid of a model which assembles common clinical information-processing procedures into a rational framework. The model is used to deduce requirements on clinical information systems, and to explain the design philosophy of a prototype information system which has been implemented by the writer.
