Value Assessment of Binjiang Open Spaces of Cities along Changjiang River——A Case Study of Jiangtan Park in Wuhan

In this study,using Contingent Valuation Method(CVM),taking Jiangtan Park for an example,this paper assessed its economic value.By bivariate pearson correlation and logit model results indicated that frequency of going to Jiangtan,impression of it,degree of dependence of it,whether reside in Jiangtan or not,occupation and monthly income were all significantly associated.The economic valuation of Jiangtan beach park was 370 572 800 yuan calculated based on CVM in 2012,the per capita willingness to pay(WTP) was 37.87 yuan per year.With increasing urbanization continued population growth,the non-use value benefits of Jiangtan Park would be further enhanced.At the same time,the survey showed that willingness to pay in city for environment was still insufficient,urban residents′ awareness of environmental protection needed to be enhanced.
