Site-batched or ready-mixed ?

During 2000, Miller Civil Engineering placed more than 25,000 m 3 in location stretching from Aberdeen to Torquay. Ready-mixed companies supplied most of the concrete for these, but at three locations concrete was batched on site - Roundhills Sewage Treatment Works, Channel Tunnel Rail Link contracts 350 and 410 and the example which is covered in this article, Torbay Sewage Treatment Works.
