Anomalous electrooptic behaviour of ferroelectric Gd2(MoO4)3

Abstract Anomalous electrooptic behaviour of Gd 2 (MoO 4 ) 3 has been reexamined by applying static electric fields. In a narrow temperature range including the Curie point, characteristic field dependence of birefringence has been disclosed. Which confirms the previous Kobayashi and Ascher's theoretical prediction.
