Dynamic Response of Slider-Crank Machines During Startup
1984
An analysis of the dynamic response of slider-crank machines is formulated by the principles of variational mechanics. Velocity ratio constraints rather than loop equation constraints are used resulting in first-order differential equations in the undetermined multipliers. The method is applied to a Kohler K91 engine and experimental verification is presented.
