Spectrometric characteristics of polystyrene scintillation films
1999
Abstract The spectrometric characteristics of five types of polystyrene scintillation films with thicknesses of 10, 30, 50 and 80 μ m and of analogous 250 μ m thick plates irradiated with 239 Pu, 238 Pu and 226 Ra sources of α-particles have been studied. The prospects of utilization of scintillation films as radiators for detection of heavy charged particles and measurement of their energy was experimentally shown.
