The method comprises steps that: the state information of the transformer station primary main equipment is received and is classified into on-line monitoring data, off-line detection data, history state information and family defect information; after pre-processing, the data is sent to a threshold diagnosis module for diagnosis; a diagnosis result of the threshold diagnosis module is sent to an expert diagnosis module; the inputted data is diagnosed through the expert diagnosis module, an operation state of the equipment is diagnosed, and a message formed from the operation state information is inputted through a second bus to a multidimensional information display module; the multidimensional information display module is used for identifying state information of the equipment in the message and carrying out classification and display. The method realizes comprehensive analysis determination on the operation state of the equipment through integration of the on-line data, the off-line data, the history information and family defects, not only diagnosis reliability of the equipment is improved, but also content transmission quantity of the message is reduced, and business processing capacity requirements for the regulation and control system is further reduced.
