Conclusion: How the Media Could Report Opinion Polls

In this chapter we summarise the key findings provided throughout the book so far and discuss what we can and cannot conclude. Specifically, we seek out to discuss the implications for our understanding of opinion polls in contemporary democracies, as well as the important questions to be examined in future work on how opinion polls make their way into the public conversation.
