Search for I = 2 multipion resonances

Abstract We have performed a search for I = 2 multipion resonances in reactions of the type π − d → pp + x −− at an incident π − momentum of 7 GeV/ c . We found no evidence for the existence of resonance-like states in the x −− system, and consequently present upper limits for the production of such resonances in these reactions.
