The Effects of DANGGUIBEIMUKUSHEN Decoction on IL-1β in the Prostates of CBP Rats

2010
Objective:To observe the effects of DANGGUIBEIMUKUSHEN(DGBMKS) Decoction on the content and the mRNA gene expression of IL-1β in the prostates of CBP rats and investigate its mechanism.Methods:60 male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into 6 groups(10 in each):the control group, the model group, the western medicine group, the high, middle and low-dose groups of DGBMKS decoction. The CBP models were established by injecting E.coli into the dorsal lobes of the prostate. The content and the mRNA gene expression of IL-1β in the prostates of rats were detected. Results:Compared to the model group, the content of IL-1β was significantly decreased in the high-dose group of DGBMKS decoction(P0.01),and the mRNA gene expression of IL-1β was significantly decreased in the high, middle and low-dose groups of DGBMKS decoction(P0.01).Compared to the western medicine group, the expression of IL-1βin the high-dose group of DGBMKS decoction was significantly decreased(P0.01).Conclusion:The mechanism of DGBMKS decoction may be correlated with it lowering IL-1β of CBP rats.
