Quantitative Modeling of Diffusion Into Endocardial Vegetations, the Postantibiotic Effect, and Bacterial Growth and Kill

This chapter discusses models of bacterial growth and kill using Michaelis–Menten and Hill models, and the diffusion of drug into possible endocardial vegetations. It also presents a way to model the postantibiotic effect. An illustrative case is presented.
