Mecanismos jurídicos para lograr la protección de especies en peligro de extinción ante la amenaza por parte de grupos indígenas en Colombia : evaluación y estrategias ante la confrontación entre derechos ambientales y culturales

The protection to the environment has increased notably in the last few years, given its serious state of threat. However, little has been discussed regarding how it should be protected in such cases when its threat is caused, among other reasons, by the legitimate exercise of a recognized human right. This text has the purpose of determining what should prevail: the environment or the cultural right of indigenous peoples, in the cases in which the exercise of such right is aggravating the threat to certain species important for the conservation of the environment.
