Van kwetsbaar naar weerbaar : het Uitvoeringsprogramma Toekomstvisie Gewasbescherming 2030 belicht vanuit transitietheorie

In this study, the Implementation Program for the Future Vision of Crop Protection 2030 has beenevaluated on the basis of transition theory, in particular the small wins theory. With resilient crops and cultivation systems a provocative ambition has been formulated. To achieve this ambition, we recommend sharpening the targets and providing them with good indicators. This progress can be monitored and, if needed, timely adjustments can be made. In addition, it is important that a transition team is established for implementation. This team can identify established and potential small wins and investigate how the Implementation Program can assist them. This way tangible results are achieved for those directly involved and small but meaningful steps are taken towards system change. The current approach focuses on established public and private stakeholders throughout the production and supply chain. In the Implementation Plant less attention is paid to actors who work on resilient crops with alternative approaches. Involving these innovators is necessary to bring about more radical change. Finally, international alignment is required.
