[Casuistic contribution to the Ekbom-syndrome (author's transl)].

1980
: The Ekbom-syndrome--a clinical picture known also under different other names--is a disease known for some 100 years. Its nosological classification is difficult. The majority of patients are women over the age of 50. They are halluzinating and firmly convinced to be victims of attacks of small animals, i.e. lice, worms or mites. They are prepared to undertake anything even utmost risky deeds to rid themselves of the alleged vermins. The syndrom is discussed based on a self-experienced case.
