MMP-9、HPA及CD34在侵袭性垂体腺瘤中表达的研究

2007
Objective To investigate the expression of MMP-9、HPA and CD34 in patients with invasive pituitary adenomas ,and to evaluate the relationship between the expression of MMP-9, HPA, CD34 and the invasion of pituitary adenomas. Methods The expression of MMP-9, HPA and CD34 were examined by immunohistochemical staining and MVD signed by CD34 was counted at the same time, and the expression of MMP-9 and HPA mRNA were examined by RT-PCR assay. Results Thirty-four cases were invasive and 29 were non-invasive in 63 patients with pituitary adenomas. The intense and total expression rate of MMP-9, HPA of pituitary adenomas patients with invasion were significantly higher than those without invasion (P<0.01); MVD of pituitary adenomas patients with invasion was significantly higher than that without invasion (P<0.01). Both mRNA expressions of MMP-9 and HPA were also observed significantly higher in invasive pituitary adenomas than those without invasion (P<0.01). There was a positive correlation between MMP-9 and UPA mRNA expression in invasive pituitary adenomas (r=0.65, P<0.01), and no correlation between them in noninvasive pituitary adenomas (r=-0.32, P>0.05). Conclusions Higher MMP-9, HPA expression and higher MVD of pituitary adenoms may be useful markers to predict the invasiveness. MMP-9 has closed relationship with the creating of HPA in the invasion of pituitary adenomas.
