Survival Analysis on 64 Cases of Advanced Pancreatic Cancer Treated by Integrated Western and Traditional Chinese Medicine Mainly with Qingyi Huaji Formula

Objective To observe the survival state of patients with advanced pancreatic cancer treated by integrated western and traditional Chinese medicine mainly with Qingyi Huaji Formula(formula for clearing the pancreas and dissolving the stasis),and the influence factors of the treatment.Methods A reviewed analysis was made on the patients with advanced pancreatic cancer who were treated by Qingyi Huaji Formula,the integrated western and traditional Chinese Medicine.The survival rate of treatment group,64 cases,was compared with that of the control group,70 cases,treated by non-Qingyi Huaji Formula,and the influence of various clinical factors,chemical therapy,radiotherapy on the survival rate was analyzed.Results In the treatment group,the survival rate of 1,3,and 5 years was 25.0%,14.1% and 8.4% respectively,and the median survival was 7.6 months,obviously longer than those of the control group(P0.05).Those who with the serum CA19-9≥500U/ml and KPS80 before treatment were related with poorer survival(P0.05).In the treatment group,the survival rate of different TCM syndromes was not significantly different(P0.05).The survival rate of radiotherapy and chemotherapy was better than that of chemotherapy alone(P0.05).Conclusion Qingyi Huaji Formula is important in prolonging survival of patients with advanced pancreatic cancer.
