PENGARUH KOMPOS PAITAN (Tithonia diversifolia) DAN PUPUK NPK TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL TANAMAN MENTIMUN VARIETAS ROMAN (Cucumis sativus L.)

Cucumber has a variety of benefits for humans, because consuming fruit cucumber besides can add to the taste of eating also contains nutrients high enough for the health of the body. Cucumber F1 Roman Hybrid. This superior variety was released through SK. Mentri Kepmentan No 3638/Kpts/SR. 120/10/2009. Roman cucumber crops are more resistant to disease such as crackle. Low productivity of cucumber plants in Indonesia can be caused by several factors such as climate factors, planting techniques such as soil processing, fertilization, irrigation, and the presence of pest and disease attacks. The provision of Tithonia green fertilizer dose 10 tons/ha can increase the yield of corn crops 9.2 tons/ha. The treatment of the dose of fertilizer 1800 kg/ha gives better results compared to other doses. Therefore, to know the further influence on the growth and outcome of the plant cucumber varieties of Roman with the provision of compos Paitan with each treatment 4 tons/ha, 8 tons/ha, and 12 tons/ha, while the provision of fertilizer NPK with each treatment of 1,500 kg/ha, 1,800 kg/ha, 2,100 kg/ha, and 2,400 kg/ha. This research aims to determine the influence of interaction of compos Paitan (Tithonia diversifolia) and NPK Fertilizer to the growth and yield of the cucumber Roman varieties, as well as the influence of each treatment. This research was conducted in Jatibanteng village, Kec. Besuki, Kab. Situbondo, for 3 months. This research uses the group random draft (RAK) factorial and repeated 3 times. The Data obtained is analyzed using the F test, and the appeal is tested using BNJ with a 5% level. The observation parameters consist of 7 some of them are length of plant, diameter of trunk, number of leaves, number of fruit, length of fruit, diameter of fruit, and weight of fruit. On the observation parameters of plant length growth, stem diameters, and the number of leaves indicates real effect combined treatment. While on the parameters of observation results of fruit count, fruit diameter, and weight of the fruit, the treatment of the Hasi showed significant effect on the treatment of T12P24.
