Aging in nonhuman primates

Abstract Studies of aging have largely focused upon short-lived model organisms. In this chapter we highlight the importance of nonhuman primate models of aging, how they have contributed to our knowledge of domains of aging, and what we can learn using nonhuman primate models for testing potential therapeutics for aging intervention.
