Diseño y pruebas de un convertidor reductor de CD-CD para propósitos educativos

946/5000 The high cost of commercial teaching-focused laboratory modules has been a limiting factor in learning power electronics. In this paper, we present the low-cost prototype of a small capacity Buck converter, for teaching modeling and control of the converter. The TMS320LF2407 digital signal processing card and VisSim ECD software were used to implement the prototype control, and the IGBT IRG4PC50U and the IR2110 controller were used to build it. In the analytical study of the prototype, the gains of the PID controller were determined to achieve the overdamped responses in a certain period of time. Tests carried out indicated adequate operation for different output voltage requirements. Also, the robustness of the PID controller was tested by varying the load, finding an output voltage with a high ripple value.
