La scelta della via di accesso nelle revisioni delle protesi d’anca

The choice of the surgical approach is very important in revision hip surgery planning, in particular when selecting either a conventional or a specific approach. The selection of the surgical approach depends on many factors: reasons for revision; type of implants to be removed and type of migration; previous approaches; bone and soft tissue lesions. In the following paper these factors will be discussed together with the limitations of conventional approaches and the indications for specific approaches.
