Optical fibre pressure sensors based on Extrinsic Fabry Perot Interferometer (EFPI) for the depth Control in marine environment

In this paper, an optical fibre pressure sensor (OFPS) was designed and built for depth measurements in marine environment. The OFPS was mounted on a marine based Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) and tested in a tank for accuracy, stability and resolution in an underwater environment.
