Five Taccalonolides from Tacca plantaginea

The isolation of five bitter-tasting steroids as minor constituents from the Chinese medicinal plant Tacca plantaginea (Taccaceae), taccalonolides G(1), H (2), I(3), J(4), and K(5) is described. Their structures were elucidated mainly by spectroscopic methods.
