Creutzfeldt-Jacob disease.
2006
Background: A 57-year-old female with a past medical history of breast carcinoma presented with symptoms of anxiety, concentration difficulties, personality changes and vertigo. Routine laboratory examination and CT scan of the brain were unremarkable. Two months after the onset of the initial symptoms, the patient was hospitalized with an acute confusional state and myoclonic jerks.
