Nutriment formula for promoting the bee colony (Apis mellifera) to grow.

【Objective】A nutrient formula for seasonal bee breeding was selected to provide reference for bee nutriment research. 【Method 】With feeding habits and bee colony potential proliferation as survey indicators, effects of different nutritional feeds on bee colony growth were evaluated from 25 thAugust to 9thOctober of 2009 and from 13 th August to 22 thOctober of 2010, respectively. 【Result】The formula of "pollen+fresh milk+powdered sugar" was the best with the feeding rate of 100% and bee colony potential proliferation of 49.24% in the autumn of 2009, while the formula of "pollen+oxytetracycline+ syrup " was the worst with the feeding rate of 74.88% and bee colony potential proliferation of-10.28%. In the autumn of 2010, the formula of "pollen+fresh milk+powdered sugar " was still the best with the feeding rate of 94.64% and bee colony potential proliferation of 37.01%. 【Conclusion】 "Pollen +fresh milk+powdered sugar" is an effective formula for promoting the bee colony to grow.
