A process for the continuous dosing of staple fibers to screw machines

2012
The present invention relates to a process for the continuous dosing of finite length textile fiber materials (1) to screw machines, is produced in the from the fibers of a clutch (1) with a defined mass per unit area and the laying width, which is filed on a conveyor belt (2) and continuously to a extruder is fed. According to the invention the eggs by means of an arrangement comprising at least two conveyor belts (2, 3), between which it undergoes, is compressed to a specified thickness, which is smaller than the thickness of the feed slot at the extruder. The method allows the direct processing of finite length, poorly flowing reinforcing fibers on screw machines.
