Influence of Window Function on Characterization of Materials in Terahertz Spectroscopy

ABSTRACT Terahertz spectroscopy is becoming a potential tool for characterizing various materials including biomaterial specimens, liquids, and semiconductors. Accuracy of the sample information is important for analysis. In this article, the influences of type and position of window functions on accuracy of extracting sample information are studied. Experimental results show that an appropriate type and position of window functions significantly improve the accuracy of the extracted sample information.
