Method and apparatus for establishing session in wi-fi display device

The present specification discloses a technique for improving a negotiation procedure for the role of a TCP server in order to establish a session in a Wi-Fi display (WFD) device. Specifically, a first WFD device operating as a WFD source may set up a connection with at least one second WFD device operating as a WFD sink. Further, when there are a plurality of second WFD devices operating as WFD sinks, the first WFD device may transmit, to the plurality of second WFD devices, a control message including a capability parameter indicating that the first WFD device will serve as a transmission control protocol (TCP) server for the plurality of second WFD devices, so as to negotiate with the plurality of second WED devices for the capability of the first WFD device.
