End-stage renal failure in adults with the tuberous sclerosis complex.

Ten patients were identified as having endstage renal failure ( ESRF ) and TSC, giving an incid- logy in the seven patients with renal failure. To date, no study has been carried out in the UK ence of 1% in patients with TSC and normal intellect. There was a wide spectrum of underlying pathology to look at the incidence of ESRF in TSC or its clinical presentation, and no study has reported the underlying and clinical presentation within this group. Conclusion. ESRF is rare in TSC but does contribute pathology in these patients. to significant morbidity and mortality in this group. Methods
