Application examples and their applied technology for architectural material

Abstract Titanium sheets as architectural material have been applied to the roof and exterior walls of public buildings such as museums, grand theaters, shrines, and temples due to excellent corrosion resistance, design quality, and the high-class image given by titanium. Various surface finishing, improvement of discoloration resistance, and suppression of pocket waves during roll forming have been energetically developed as different technologies of titanium sheet production for architectural material from the viewpoint of enhancing the landscape. In this chapter, each of these technologies will be introduced in detail.
