Background: Asthma is the leading chronic disease in children. When children present with an asthma exacerbation (AE), they are frequently managed with steroids, bronchodilators, and oxygen support. High flow nasal cannula (HFNC) is a method of delivering inspired oxygen rapidly via nasal cannula.
