ADSORPTION OF ALIPHATIC ALCOHOLS BY SOIL MINERALS AS A METHOD OF EVALUATING THEIR HYDROPHOBIC SITES

Summary The density of hydrophobic sites on the surface of some soil minerals has been determined by adsorption of aliphatic alcohols from aqueous solution. The amount of alcohol adsorbed was evaluated by measurements of the surface tension of the solution.
