Research on the Marriage Custom in Zhangjiakou during Late Qing Dynasty and the Beginning of Republic of China

The local characteristic manifested in Zhangjiakou marriage derives out some new characteristics and forms in modern China. Over the periods of late Qing Dynasty and the beginning of Republic of China especially, the custom of Zhangjiakou marriage though still valued the tradition, however, under the effect new trend of thought, new marriage style appeared. The new change reflected the trend of some inland marriage custom.
