Direct synthesis of carbon nanotube-graphene hybrids on copper powders and the mechanical properties of corresponding composites

2021
Abstract Carbon nanotube-graphene (CNT-GP) hybrids are directly synthesized on the surface of Cu powders through CVD by using Cu as both the catalyst and metal matrix. The sintered composites show a good combination of strength and ductility, which can be attributed to the interconnected architecture of chemically hybridized CNT-GP hybrids.
