Discussion on Development of Animal Environment and Production Systems Discipline

As the development of animal husbandry entering a new period,the research of animal environment and production systems has become a new important field.Anumber of institutions abroad and their research fields are summaried,which focuses on livestock ecology,animal production systems,animal behavior and welfare.The research progress in these fields of some typical institutes are introduced also.Then point out that the construction of animal environment and production systems discipline in China is necessary.The research on the discipline of animal environment and production systems should focus on main issues shch as: resources and sustainable animal husbandry,ecology and environment-friendly animal husbandry,production systems and organic animal husbandry.
