espanolEl proyecto Destinos Turisticos Inteligentes, una de las medidas recogidas en el Plan Nacional e Integral de Turismo (PNIT) 2012-2015, impulsado por la Secretaria de Estado de Turismo y gestionado por la Sociedad Estatal para la Gestion de la Innovacion y las Tecnologias Turisticas (SEGITTUR). El objetivo es mejorar el posicionamiento de Espana como destino turistico mundial, buscando nuevos mecanismos para impulsar la innovacion en los destinos, con el despliegue y desarrollo de las TICS, de forma que se puedan crear servicios diferenciales y altamente competitivos. Asimismo, se persigue crear un marco homogeneo que establezca los requisitos minimos para clasificar los destinos turisticos como «Destinos Inteligentes» de forma alineada a las tendencias de las Ciudades Inteligentes. ?Que es un Destino Turistico Inteligente? Un destino turistico innovador, consolidado sobre una infraestructura tecnologica de vanguardia, que garantiza el desarrollo sostenible del territorio turistico, accesible para todos, que facilita la interaccion e integracion del visitante con el entorno e incrementa la calidad de su experiencia en el destino, a la vez que mejora la calidad de vida del residente. EnglishThe Smart Destinations project is one of the measures contained in the National Integrated Tourism Plan (PNIT) 2012-2015, sponsored by the Spanish Tourist Board and managed by Sociedad Estatal para la Gestion de la Innovacion y las Tecnologias Turisticas (SEGITTUR). The aim of this project is to improve the positioning of Spain as a world tourism destination, seeking new mechanisms to boost innovation in the destinations through the deployment and development of ICTs in order to create differential and highly competitive services. A further aim is to set up a standardized framework to establish the minimum requirements to classify tourism destinations as «Smart Destinations» aligned with the trend towards Smart Cities. What is a «Smart Destination»? An innovative tourist destination, built on a state-of-the-art technological infrastructure. A destination that ensures the sustainabledevelopment of its tourist territory. A destination that is accessible to everyone. A destination which promotes the interaction with its visitors and the visitors’ integration with their surroundings. A destination that increases the quality of the visitors’ experience, improving the quality of life of its residents at the same time
