Tilt adjusting device for a vehicle seat

2007
Tilt adjusting device (16) for a vehicle seat (10), comprising: a drive shaft (20) that provides a torque for setting the tilt adjusting device (16), an inner gear plate (24) comprising a first plurality of internal teeth (48) in a circular arrangement on one side of the internal gear plate (24) and having a first axis of rotation, an outer gear plate (26) comprising a second plurality of external teeth (56) in a circular arrangement on a side of the outer gear plate (26) and having a second axis of rotation which is offset from the first axis of rotation, wherein the inner and the external gear plate (24, 26) engage at a point each other, so that a rotation of one gear plate causes rotation of the other gear plate, wherein the outer gear plate (26) defining a receiving opening (58) for a bearing ring (36), an expandable camming arrangement, in a bearing ring (36) is arranged, wherein the cam arrangement includes a cam (30) with a drive projection (64) extending from an outer diameter of the cam (30) radially outward, and wherein the cam ( 30) has a blocking circumferential section (66) whose end faces is (from an outer periphery of the cam 30) extending radially outwardly, wherein the blocking circumferential section (66) (of the driving projection 64) is spaced apart, wherein a pair of locking elements (32, 34) selectively contacts the bearing ring (36) and the blocking circumferential section (66) of the cam (30) and a spring (40) against the locking elements (32, 34) presses, and the locking elements (32, 34) in a connection to the bearing ring (36) and biasing the blocking circumferential section (66) of the cam (30) to lock the cam (30) selectively on the bearing ring (36), a drive wheel (28) which is mounted on the cam arrangement and the drive shaft (20), wherein the drive wheel (28) has a first and a second drive wheel segment (84, 86) on opposite circumferential sides of the drive projection (64) of the cam ( 30) are arranged, wherein the first and the second drive wheel segment (84, 86) respectively (between the drive projection 64) and one of the locking elements (32, 34) are arranged, and ...
