Aqueous dispersions of soluble anionic polymers in water and / or water swellable, process for their preparation and their use.

2005
Aqueous dispersion of water-soluble and / or water-swellable anionic polymers which are obtainable by polymerization by free radical anionic ethylenically unsaturated monomers in aqueous medium in the presence of at least one stabilizer, wherein the polymerization is carried out in the presence of a combination consisting of at least one water soluble polymer from the groups (a) graft polymers of vinyl acetate and / or vinyl propionate on (i) polyethylene glycols or (ii) polyethyleneglycols closed end group on one or both sides with alkyl, carboxyl or amino or polypropylene glycols, polyalkylene glycols, polyalkylene glycols closed soluble end groups on one or both sides with alkyl, carboxyl or amino and (b) copolymers water consisting of (b1) nonionic monoethylenically unsaturated monomers, (b2) cationic monomers monoethylenically unsaturated and, optionally, (b3) anionic monomers, monoethylenically unsaturated, wherein the proportion of cationic monomers incorporated by polymerization greater than that of the anionic monomers, which acts as a stabilizer.
