Adhesive Properties of Insulating Tapes and Wrappers
2018
The adhesive properties of Polylen (Russia), Polyken (United States), Nitto (Italy), and Furukawa (Japan) insulating tapes and wrappers are described. The contribution is evaluated that primer layers make to the service properties of the insulating tapes providing the necessary adhesion bond between polyethylene tapes and a metal substrate. It is shown that the tackiness and creep of a Polylen tape butyl rubber layer exceeds the corresponding characteristics of other tapes.
