Luminous body and traffic lane display apparatus using the same

2009
The present invention relates to a luminous body and a traffic lane display apparatus using the same for enabling a driver to easily identify driving lanes at night or in case of bad weather, which comprises a resin cover that accommodates a luminous member to maintain insulating and moisture-proof properties and increase an anti-oxidizing effect and durability. According to the present invention, the luminous body comprises the resin cover which consists of: the luminous member which is supplied with power and emits light; 1 st and 2 nd cover units which are coupled mutually and forms internal spaces where the luminous member can be embedded; and a sealing unit which is formed on a contact surface between the 1 st and 2 nd cover units, and maintains a sealing effect of the internal spaces when the cover units are bonded together; wherein, an LED lamp or an inorganic EL film is selected as the luminous member, and the sealing unit includes a 1 st weld projection and a 1 st weld concave groove extended along the edge of the 1 st cover unit, and a 2 nd weld concave groove and a 2 nd weld projection extended along the edge of the 2 nd cover unit and individually welded or combined with the 1 st weld projection and the 1 st weld concave groove, and it is desirable that the internal spaces of the resin cover are processed in vacuum state or filled with inactive gas. According to the present invention, the luminous body and the traffic lane display apparatus using the same have a low risk of damage thanks to moisture-proof properties and durability and improve the ability of the vehicle to recognize traffic lanes by a self luminance effect, thereby inducing safe driving.
