There is a low rate of symptomatology associated with SARS-CoV-2 infection in children and a substantially lower risk of death than in adults1 . Nevertheless, in rare cases some children present with features of a multisystem inflammatory syndrome with overlapping features of Kawasaki disease and toxic shock syndrome2,3 .
