Physical channel model for holographic data storage systems

In this paper we present a channel model for a holographic data storage (HDS) system based on the physical impairments of the system. Histogram and pixel-wise comparisons between the real output pages and simulated pages show that the physical channel model yields about 30% normalized root mean square error (NRMSE).
