Space Filled Hybrid Multiband Antenna for S – C – X Band Applications

2021
One of the prominent innovations in the new wireless communications is to miniaturize the size of electronics devices and optimize the performance parameters to satisfy the requirements of advance wireless communication. In this paper, 50 ohm transmission line feed Moore curve antenna is designed. Monopole modeled Moore curve obtains dual frequencies such as 3.12GHz, 8.62GHz. To increase the multiple resonances of Moore antenna, it is combined with Circular arc koch fractal named as Moore – Circular Arcs loaded Fractal Antenna (MCAFA). This structure achieves huge bandwidth of 260MHz, 130MHz and 1020MHz at triple bands. In order to improve multibands, VSWR, maximum realized gain and radiation efficiency, MCAFA antenna is further improved by adding inverted T – slot in ground. This antenna exhibits five multiple resonances at 2.80GHz, 3.95GHz, 6.30GHz, 8.65GHz and 11.10GHz. Maximum obtained bandwidth is 840MHz and its maximum realized gain is 5.58dB. The physical dimension of proposed antenna is 0.437 λg x 0.437 λg (λg is guided wavelength) and can be useful for ISM band, low power wireless, mobile and satellite communications. The performance of proposed antenna designed on FR – 4 material and its characteristics are examined by using HFSS tool.
