Continuous Measurement Method for Wheel/Rail Vertical Force Based on Strain of Rail

Existing methods of measuring wheel-rail vertical force have disadvantages:short response range,blind zone and non-continuous.In the paper,strain responses of nodes on the neutral axis in rail model were calculated under moving vertical load.According to the variation of strain field,distance between sensor locations was extent to 400mm,and a continuous measure method of rail load was proposed.Then,an indoor loading test was carry out,the result of test has a same change law to the simulate calculation's which verifying the validity of proposed continuous measure method.
