2012
Objective To evaluate the effect and safety of transurethral enucleation of prostate with plasmakinetic system in the treatment of benign prostate hyperplasia(BPH).Methods Eighty BPH patients underwent transurethral enucleation with plasmakinetic system were choosed. The preoperative estimated weight of the prostates ranged from 37g to 215g,averaged(62 ± 16)g.Results The procedure was performed successfully in all of the cases with operating time 40-90 min(mean 60 min)and intraoperative blood loss 100-180 ml(mean 136 ml).The removed tissues weighed 20-89 g,averaging 46 g.During the operation, the perforation were found in 3 cases.Postoperatively, the catheters were removed 3-7 days, and after that the symptom of dysuria was relieved in all cases.Temporal incontinence was found in 10 cases, urethral orifice stricture occurred in 3 cases and these complications were all solved by simple treatment. All the cases were followed up,in the third month, their IPSS,QOL,Qmax were improved significantly, compared with preoperative ones (respectively,P < 0.01),No other complication was found. Conclusions Transurethral enucleation of prostate with plasmakinetic system in the treatment of BPH is safe and effective.
